The dielectric strength test allows the insulation of a product to be verified by exposing it to an AC voltage higher than the nominal voltage for a given time. By using the HIPOT III it is possible to verify the dielectric rigidity of cables, busbars, motors, among others, by means of the leakage current criterion before they are subjected to load.
This test offers advantages since it prevents major damage to your equipment extending its useful life. The tests are carried out under the following regulations: NTC 3278, IEC 61439-2 and IEC 62271-200.
