The constant use of electrical equipment generates a natural wear of the materials from which they were manufactured, situation that makes them more susceptible to generate failures that derive in unscheduled stoppages or irreparable damages of the equipment or systems.
Through the Megger MIT 525 it is possible to conduct measurements of DC (direct current) insulation to electrical conductors, rotary electrical machines (motors), power transformers and control, allowing to determine their state of insulation providing a criterion to decide when to perform maintenance on a machine without generating negative impacts on the task it performs.
The insulation resistance test is carried out under the ANSI/NETA 2003 standard for acceptance testing specifications and NTC 3278 low voltage control panels. Type tested and type partially tested panels.
