The Roof Stadium, one of the most important sports venues in the capital, is being remodeled. This venue, which was initially inaugurated in 1950 as a hippodrome, became a soccer stadium in the 1990s to hold local matches.
With the recent appointment (2007) as the headquarters of the sports team La Equidad, the local administration saw the need to make major renovations to its infrastructure, with the aim of giving it lighting and capacity to receive 4000 to 23 000 spectators. To this end, there are plans to build bleachers in the eastern, northern and southern sectors in addition to the respective lighting.
Industrias Ectricol, participates in this project through Codensa Servicios through the construction, supply and installation on site of 5 electric substations, with the objective of lighting the soccer field. The set is composed by MT air cubicles, dry transformers, low voltage switchboards and distribution to each one of the lighting towers. As part of the integral solution it is proposed to deliver the electrical infrastructure under the turnkey modality. This important project has been developed in a two-month execution time.
