Ectricol proudly presents its international participation in the manufacturing of integral solutions for the Utilities sector in Chile. We had the opportunity to supply 4SheltersShelters to house the control and protection rooms of the 220 kV Rio Tolten Electric Substation. Since it is located in the southeastern part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, the most seismic place in the world, it represented a huge challenge for our engineering department as it had to comply with the earthquake-resistant regulations of that region. Therefore, we complied with the international regulations and standards regarding the seismic field. These shelters have auxiliary service switchboards, fire detection system, air conditioning installation facilities, as well as interior and exterior lighting.
These solutions were developed for GRUPO SAESA (Sociedad Austral de Electricidad Sociedad Anónima for its Spanish acronym), a leading company in the utilities sector with more than 78 years of experience within the electrical industry. Ectricol was chosen as the company best qualified to carry out this project, which highlighted the quality, engineering and innovation of our power centers built and designed to house their electrical equipment. During an exhaustive period and with the most talented professionals and technicians we executed the project in record time in order to manufacture these solutions that have the following special characteristics.
